KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 19, 2016) — The Mules Golf team shot even par, 288, on Tuesday afternoon at the MIAA Championships at Tiffany Greens Golf Club. The Mules are tied for second with Lindenwood and sit 10 shots back of Central Oklahoma heading in to Wednesday’s third and final round.

Teddy Jones shot a three-under par 69 to pace the Mules. He moved up seven spots on the leaderboard and sits in fourth place at one-over par, just three shots back of individual leader Blake Lammers (-2) of Lincoln. Alex Springer is tied for 11th after a two-under par 70 on Tuesday. He is four-over par for the championship.

Travis Mays is tied for 15th at six-over par. He shot a one-over par 73 on Tuesday. Cole Dillon shot his second straight round of 76 and is tied for 20th at eight-over par, while Shayne Allan is tied for 39th at 15-over par after second round 78.

If the Mules hope to claim their third straight MIAA Regular Season and Tournament title they’ll have to chase down Central Oklahoma, who sits at nine-over par 585 and holds a 10-shot lead after an eight-under par 280 team score on Tuesday.

The Mules, Bronchos and Lindenwood will all tee off beginning at 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
