Ferris Ties for Eighth, Helps UMSL Men’s Golf to Sixth Place at Kyle Riman Memorial Invitational


Sophomore Chris Ferris shot a career-best 215 to tie for eighth place at the Kyle Riman Memorial Invitational, hosted by Tiffin, on Saturday and Sunday, to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team to a sixth place finish in the 21-team field.


Ferris shot rounds of 72, 76 and 67, finishing five strokes out of medalist contention. His five-under-par final round tied for the lowest round of the tournament.


The Tritons turned in an 880 (296-293-291), 11 strokes behind team champion Wayne State (Mich.).
