Women’s Golf Wraps Up Play at Payne Stewart/MSU Memorial

The William Woods University women’s golf team wrapped up the 54-hole Payne Stewart/Missouri State Memorial on Tuesday afternoon, which was held at Twin Oaks Country Club.

Leading the Owls was Maria Zrodowska. Zrodowska shot her best collegiate round in the third round of the tournament with a round of three-over par 74. She finished the tournament 18-over par 231 (78-79-74).

Lucy Matthews came in second for the Owls as she shot 39-over par 252 (81-86-85). She shot 14-over par 85 in the final round of the tournament.

Krystal Burgtorf was the third best score for the Owls. She shot 16-over par 87 in the final round. She shot 49-over par 262 (89-86-87) on the tournament.

Kelsey Moreland followed shooting 52-over par 265 (90-88-87) for the tournament. Moreland shot her best round of the tournament during the final round when she shot 16-over par 87.

Rounding out the Owls was Paige Hawkins. Hawkins shot her best round of the three-round tournament in the final round. She was 15-over par 86 on the day. She shot 57-over par 270 (90-94-86) for the tournament.

The Owls return to action on Monday, Sept. 17 when they host the WWU Fall Invitational at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo.
