
Women’s Golf Wins Title at Own Spring Invitational
The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team claimed its second team title of the season, winning its own UMSL Spring Invitational, held Saturday and Monday at the Whitmoor Country Club.
The Tritons shot a 609 (303-306), finishing eight strokes better than runner-up Lindenwood in the 14-team field.
Sophomore Emma Thorngren was the individual runner-up, turning in a 148 (69-79), two strokes behind medalist Nicolle Bamettler of Truman State.
UMSL will take on McKendree on Sunday in a dual match at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Mo.
