Women’s Golf Earns WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award


The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team was named a recipient of the 2017-18 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Team GPA Award. The Tritons ranked 21stamongst NCAA Division II women’s golf programs with a 3.619 cumulative GPA.

All six members of the team had GPAs above 3.1 with four at 3.5 or higher, including Ares BoiraAlexa CapesiusStefaniya Ivanova and Emma Thorngren, who were all honored as WGCA All-American Scholars earlier this month.

The Tritons were equally as successful on the course as well, finishing sixth nationally at the NCAA DII National Championships. UMSL had 10 top-five finishes during the year, including three wins, and set a school single season record for scoring average (305.19).
