
UMSL Women’s Golf Wins Own Tournament, Thorngren is Medalist
The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team won its second team title of the year, capturing its own UMSL Fall Invitational at Oak Terrace.
The Tritons shot rounds of 290 and 296 to turn in a team score of 586, bettering runner-up Lewis by 41 strokes.
UMSL also took the individual title with freshman Emma Thorngren earning medalist honors for the first time in her young career. Additionally, the Tritons had the top three finishers and had all five golfers in the top seven.
UMSL is back on the links next Sunday and Monday at the Findlay Tournament in Findlay, Ohio.
