UMSL Women’s Golf, Thorngren Win Titles at Findlay-Beall Fall Classic


The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team picked up its third team title of the season by winning the Findlay-Beall Fall Classic, held Sunday and Monday at the Findlay Country Club, site of the 2017 NCAA DII Women’s Golf Championships.

Freshman Emma Thorngren also claimed her second straight individual tournament victory by turning in a 147 (74-73), helping UMSL to a team score of 616 (309-307) in the 15-team field.

The Tritons will close out the fall portion of their schedule next Monday and Tuesday at the NYC Big Apple Invitational in Plains, N.Y.
