UMSL Women’s Golf Places 14th at Argonaut Invitational
PENSACOLA, FLA., April 5, 2016 – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team recorded a 14th place finish at the competitive Argonaut Invitational, hosted by West Florida on Monday and Tuesday.
Competing in the field of 18 teams, which included seven teams ranked in the top 10 of the latest Golfstat Rankings, the Tritons turned in a score of 977 (322-336-319). Rollins won the team title, shooting a 916 (302-305-309), finishing nine strokes ahead of runner-up Lee (304-308-313 – 925).
UMSL was led individually by sophomore Ares Boira, who shot a 242 (79-83-80). Other scores include sophomore Stefaniya Ivanova (79-82-82 – 243), sophomore Alexa Capesius (85-84-79 – 248), freshman Maxi Roth (80-87-84 – 251), and sophomore Alix Beriard (84-89-78 – 251). Junior Miranda Rohlfing turned in a 248 (82-85-81) while competing as an individual.
The Tritons return to the links on Sunday and Monday, hosting their own UMSL Spring Invitational at Norwood Country Club.
