UMSL Men’s Golf Places Fourth at Las Vegas Desert Classic

The University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team tied a school record 275 in its final 18 holes Monday at its own Las Vegas Desert Classic, helping the Tritons to a fourth place finish.

UMSL turned in a team score of 567 (292-275), the second best 36-hole score in program history, and finished 19 strokes behind team champion West Florida (280-268 – 548) in the 18-team field.

Individually, junior Markus Lindberg and senior Jose Acevedo both tied for seventh place. Acevedo carded a 67 in his final round, while Lindberg shot a 68.
