
UMSL Men’s Golf Places Fifth in Opening Spring Tournament
The No. 6 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team posted a fifth place finish at the Newberry College Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday, to open the spring portion of its schedule.
The Tritons turned in a team score of 901 (292-300-309) in the field of 16 teams. UMSL held a one-stroke lead after yesterday’s opening round, but fell to fourth after the second round. Only two teams shot under 300 in the final round.
UMSL returns to action March 5-6, when they host the Las Vegas Desert Classic.
