UMSL Men’s Golf, Lindberg Win Titles at Lindenwood Invitational

The University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team fired a one under par 283 on Tuesday in the third and final round of the Lindenwood Invitational en route to claiming its third team title this fall.

The Tritons finished Monday’s first round in third place with a 290 and moved into second place with a 286 second round before its descent into first. UMSL’s score of 859 was four strokes better than runner-up Central Missouri and ties the program’s 54-hole school record, set earlier this season at the NCAA DII Preview.

The Tritons had three players shoot even par today, including junior Markus Lindberg, who claimed medalist honors for the third time this season and the fourth time in his career, which is second most in program history.

UMSL returns to the links next Monday and Tuesday at the Golfweek Invitational in Austin, Texas.
