UMSL Men’s Golf is Runner-Up at MSSU Fall Invitational; Lindberg Places Fourth


University of Missouri-St. Louis senior Markus Lindberg placed fourth individually at the Missouri Southern Fall Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday, leading the men’s golf team to a runner-up team finish in their final fall event of the season.


Lindberg carded a 220 (78-66-76), while the Tritons posted an 891 (307-277-307), finishing only behind champion Central Oklahoma in the 16-team field.

Lindberg was joined in the top 10 by sophomore Chris Ferris, who recorded his fourth top-10 finish of the year, and senior Kyle Szyhowski, who shot a career-best 224. Ferris and Szyhowski both tied for seventh place.
