Two Mules Teams Finish in Top-10 at The Mule Invitational

Mules Golf wrapped up day two of competition at the Central Missouri “The Mule” Invitational. The Mules finished at 45-over par as a team with a final score of 884 to place eighth.

The “B” team for the Mules shot a final round 298 18-over par to finish the tournament at 43-over par and tie for sixth place. The “C” team for UCM finished in 19th place at 90-over par.

Arkansas Tech won the team title with a 17-over par 857, 14 shots better than Central Oklahoma.

Samuel Parrott was the top finishing Mule finishing in fourth place at two-over par. Three shots separated Shayne Allanfrom Parrott, as he finished tied for sixth at four-over par.

JD Pedersen and Ian Barnes both finished at 12-over par to tie for 29th. Two shots back was John Bonaobra (+14) who finished tied for 39th to round out the top five finishers for UCM.

Putter Srinoon of Arkansas Tech captured the individual title winning a three-way playoff. Srinoon, Mason Banger of Harding and Nick Shapiro of Henderson State all finished at a plus-one 211 through 54 holes.

Allan finished with the most pars in the tournament hitting 40. Pedersen’s 12 birdies were tied for the second most over the two-day event.

For MIAA scoring, the Mules tallied seven team points and Sam Parrot is the individual leader. Central Oklahoma is the team leader after the first conference designated event.

The Mules are back in action Sept. 18-19 at the NSU Men’s Golf Classic at Muskogee Country Club in Muskogee, Okla. The next MIAA designated event is Oct. 16-17 in Topeka, Kan. and hosted by Washburn.
