Spring Men’s and Women’s Golf Schedules Released

The William Woods University men’s and women’s golf teams, sponsored by Fulton Medical Center, have released its 2018 spring schedule. The men and women will compete in six tournaments this spring.

On the men’s side, the Owls will open up the spring season on March 8-9 as they take part in the Spring Break Invite hosted by Lawrence Tech, which will be held at the Grand National Golf Club – Lake Course in Opelika, Alabama.

After two weeks off, the Owls will play March 26 at the Columbia College Invite. Following the Columbia College Invite, the Owls will travel to Silvis, Illinois to play in the TPC Deere Run Invitational on March 30-31.

The Owls will then host the Fulton Medical Center Invite. The Fulton Medical Center Invitational will be held April 2-3 at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Missouri.

WWU will also travel to Macomb, Illinois to play in the Beu Mussatto/Western Illinois Invitational on April 16-17. Following the Beu Mussatto/Western Illinois Invitational, the Owls will travel to Decatur, Illinois to play in the Take Back the Night Challenge.

To wrap up their schedule, the Owls will travel to Camdenton, Missouri to take part in the American Midwest Conference Championships on April 30 through May 1. The AMC Championships will be held at Old Kinderhook Golf Club.

The winner of the AMC Men’s Championships earns an automatic berth to the NAIA Men’s Golf National Championships on May 15-18. The NAIA Men’s Golf National Championship is held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.

On the women’s side, William Woods will open its 2018 spring schedule similar to the men’s schedule and will travel to Opelika, Alabama to play in the Spring Break Invitational hosted by Lawrence Tech. Following the Invitational, the Owls will play in the Holiday Inn Express/ Missouri Western Invitational which will take place on March 19-20 in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Following the Holiday Inn Express/ Missouri Western Invitational, the Owls will travel to Columbia, Missouri to play in the Columbia College Invitational on March 26

William Woods will host the Fulton Medical Center Invitational on April 2-3 at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Missouri.

William Woods will travel to Terre Haute, Indiana on April 8-9 to participate in the Indiana State Invitational, which will be held at the Country Club of Terre Haute. The Owls will also participate in the Take Back the Night Challenge when they travel to Decatur, Illinois on April 21-22 at the Southside Country Club.

On May 7-8, the Owls will participate in the AMC Women’s Golf Championships, which will be held at Redfield Golf Club in Eugene, Missouri.

The winner of the AMC Women’s Championships earns an automatic berth to the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championships on May 22-25. The NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship is held at the PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
