Sobaski claims first individual title in school history, Jennies third at MIAA Fall Preview
A week after tying for first, but losing individual medalist honors in a scorecard playoff, freshman Olivia Sobaski won in a playoff at the MIAA Fall Preview at Mules National Golf Club to claim the first individual title in Jennies Golf history as UCM finished in third in the team race.
Sobaski shot a pair of 72s to finish at two-over par for the tournament. She tied with Shi Qing Ong of Missouri Western and went to a playoff. Sobaski parred the first playoff hole, the 18th hole island green, to win the title. She was one-over at the turn and parred every hole on the back nine to stay atop the leaderboard.
Her individual crown is the first ever for the Jennies in their fifth year as a program.
