Central Missouri Mules Golf find themselves in an early hole at the NCAA Regional Championship. They are tied for 15th in the field of 20 after shooting 13-over-par 301 on day one.
All five Mules competitors were within four strokes of each other. Sam Parrott leads the team with a low-round +1, 73. He was one-under par on the back-nine as the Mules started on hole-10. He finished with par or better on 14 of 18 holes and is tied for 21st place.
Following Parrott, Shayne Allan, John Bonaobra and Matt Hoemann all shot +4, 76 in very different ways. Allan was even through the back nine and +4 on the front. Hoemann was even on the front 9 and +4 on the back. And Bonaobra was two-over par on both the front and back nine. Hoemann’s four birdies were the most for the Mules in the round. Allan was even through 12 holes, but bogied four of his last six. All three are tied for 60th place.
Cole Dillon was the Mules final competitor. He was five-over-par carding a 77 and is tied for 73rd. Dillon’s four bogies were tied for the fewest on UCM.
Tiffin University came out of the gates strong and have a six stroke lead on second place Indianapolis. Tiffin shot a -7, 281. They also have the individual leader, Logan Price, who is five-under par with a 67.
Day two pairings have not yet been announced.
