
Roth One Shot Off the Lead as UMSL Women’s Golf Opens Play at NCAA DII National Championships
University of Missouri-St. Louis sophomore Maxi Roth turned in a round of 74 on Wednesday as play began at the NCAA DII Women’s Golf National Championships in Findlay, Ohio.
Roth sits in a tie for fifth place, one stroke out of the lead, while the Tritons carded a 318 and are in a tie for seventh place. Dallas Baptist leads the field of 12 with a 299, while UMSL is just six strokes out of fifth place.
The second of four rounds begins tomorrow at 9:25 a.m. for UMSL, which will tee off on hole number 10.
The 12-team, 72-woman tournament consists of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently. All participants will compete throughout the entire 72 holes of competition, which concludes on Saturday.
