
ROOS WRAP-UP FALL SLATE WITH 13TH PLACE SHOWING AT WARRIOR PRINCEVILLE MAKAI INVITATIONAL
The UMKC men’s golf team closed out its fall slate on Tuesday afternoon with a 13th place finish at 7-under over three rounds in the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational at the Makai Golf Club.
Taylor Larsen (Garden City, Kan.) paced UMKC in the tournament, finishing in a tie for 21st at 7-under after a third round 69 that included five birdies with three straight coming on Nos. 3-5.
Paul Foulquie (Paris, France) climbed into a tie for 32nd in the final round with a team best 68 that pushed him to 4-under in the event. In the round, the Frenchman notched seven birdies, tallying back-to-back birdies on Nos. 11 and 12 and Nos. 17 and 18.
McCain Schellhardt (Edmond, Okla.) tied for 58th at even-par, closing the event with a final round 75 featuring a run of four birdies over a five-hole span from Nos. 18-4, while No. 55 Francois Lagraulet (Bordeaux, France) tied for 87th at eight-over with a three birdie 78 in round three.
Sam Humphreys (Edmond, Okla.), meanwhile, rounded out the UMKC lineup tying Lagraulet after a final round 74 that featured a trio of birdies.
No. 40 Louisville claimed the team title at 56-under, nine shots better than San Diego State. Individually, the Cardinals’ Simon Zach was the medalist at 21-under.
The Blue & Gold will be back in action again on Feb. 26-27 when they head to Lafayette, La., to open up the spring season.
