Roos Golf



The UMKC women’s golf team opens the 2017-18 season when it heads to Springfield, Mo., for the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial at Twin Oaks Country Club (Par-71, 5,984-yards) on Sep 11-12.  The Roos tee-off at 8:30 a.m. in Monday’s 36-hole opening day, while Tuesday will also feature an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start in the final round of action.

 The Field
The field 15-team field includes: Missouri State, Memphis, Murray State, UMKC, Drake, Wichita State, Omaha, South Dakota State, Louisiana Monroe, Creighton, South Dakota, UTEP, Oklahoma City, Williams Woods and Drury.

About the Roos
UMKC is set to open the 2017-18 season after finishing as the runner-up a season ago at the WAC Championship.  Junior Cynthia Diaz (Bucaramanga, Colombia) returns to the Roos for her third season in the Blue & Gold, while seniors Chandler Gallagher (Kansas City, Mo.), Maria Henao (Pereira, Colombia), Cyrielle Kern (Curvy, France) and Celine Lim (Shah Alam, Malaysia) return for their final season as Roos.  Freshman Victoria Pavlik (San Antonio, Texas), meanwhile, rounds out the lineup.

UMKC returns to the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial for the first time since 2013 when they finished 11th in the 17-team field.

Up Next
The Roos stay in the state of Missouri when they head to Columbia, Mo., for the Johnie Imes Invitational at The Club at Old Hawthorne on Oct. 3-4.
