
ROOS SEVENTH AFTER DAY ONE OF PAT BRADLEY INVITATIONAL
The UMKC women’s golf team closed out the first day of play at the Pat Bradley Invitational in seventh place at the Lakewood Ranch Golf Course after shooting a first round 303.
Leading the Roos on day one was Cynthia Diaz (Bucaramanga, Colombia) who sits in a tie for seventh at +1 after birdieing the par-5’s of Nos. 5 and 9 and the par-3 13th.
Chandler Gallagher (Kansas City, Mo.) is one shot back of Diaz in a tie for 12th with a birdie on the par-5 18th, while Celine Lim (Shah Alam, Malaysia) and Maria Henao (Pereira, Colombia) are tied for 48th at +6.
In the round, Henao carded her lone birdie on the par-5 12th, while Lim tallied 12 pars on the day.
Cyrielle Kern (Paris, France), meanwhile, birdied No. 5 and is tied for 72nd after an 83.
Boston College holds the team lead in the event by a shot over USF and just nine over the Roos, while the Bulls’ Ning Phongpaiboon and Wyoming’s Gabrielle Gibson are tied for the individual lead at -1.
The Blue & Gold will be back in action again tomorrow morning for the second day of play.
