ROOS CLIMB TO 13TH TO WRAP-UP BRADLEY SPRING BREAK INVITATIONAL

The UMKC women’s golf team climbed two spots into 13th position to close out the Bradley Spring Break Invitational at the Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, Texas.

In the event, the Roos finished the three-day tournament at +86, 942 after shooting rounds of 333-320-309.

Cynthia Diaz tied for 15th to lead the Roos in the event at +13.  Diaz finished the event with seven birdies, including birdieing the par-5 10th in each of the three rounds.

Chandler Gallagher carded the Roos next lowest score at +15 to tie for 22nd.  After a birdie-free opening round, Gallagher rebounded to post a trio of birdies in round two before adding two more in round three.

Tying for 66th at +29 was Celine Lim who finished the event with three birdies, while finishing two shots back in a tie for 70th was Cyrielle Kern.  Kern notched a single birdie in each of the three rounds, twice birdieing the par-5 8th.

Maria Henao rounded out the UMKC lineup, placing in 79th at +35 after a two-birdie tournament.

Playing as an individual, Victoria Pavlik finished in a tie for 57th at +25.  Pavlik carded a single birdie in each of the first two rounds, but came back with three in the final round, including a pair on par-4’s.

The Blue & Gold will be back in action again on Mar. 27-29 when they head to Chandler, Ariz., for the PSU/EWU Invitational.
