Five Players In Qualifying at US Amateur

Share

Five players with Missouri connections are midway through the 36 hole qualifying rounds at the US Amateur at Atlanta Athletic Club. Former Mizzou #1 player Emilio Quartero from Spain leads our list with an even-par 71 at the AAC’s Highland Course. Kansas State’s Kyle Weldon shot a two-over 73 and Mizzou senior Ryan Zech from Kearney fired a +4 75 at that course.

The River Course at Atlanta Athletic Club saw Joe Migdal, a recent grad from  Central Missouri State, shoot  76 (+4). Tanner Mckinney,  from Farmington and Mineral Area College, shot a 79 on the par 72 course.

Good luck to all five as they finish their qualifying rounds today in an attempt to make the 64 in match play competition.
