Of the four Curtis Cuppers who advanced through the first round of match play, only Alison Lee won both matches yesterday and will play today in the quarterfinals. Mariah Stackhouse lost to her Stanford teammate Lauren Kim in the round of 32, and Ally McDonald also went down to defeat in yesterday’s morning round. Emma Talley was unable to defend her title as she lost in the round of 16 yesterday afternoon.

Lee is a member of the UCLA women’s team and currently the #3 ranked player in the world amateur golf standings. She will face Brooke Mackenzie Henderson of Canada who is the #2 ranked woman and has thus far not been really challenged in her three Women’s Amateur matches. Lee and Henderson will tee off at 11:55 CDT today at Nassau CC..
