MUWomensGolf Starts Final Tournament of Fall Season at Trinity Forest Invitational

Mizzou Women’s Golf launches the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas, Texas, on Monday, the Tigers’ final tournament of the 2017 fall campaign.

The invitational, hosted by Southern Methodist University, will be played at Trinity Forest Golf Club. Round one begins at 8:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start and round two will follow with continuous play. The tournament will conclude with round three on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT.

The Tigers are of 13 programs competing in the Trinity Forest Invitational alongside BYU, Campbell, Chattanooga, Colorado, Houston, Kansas State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UNLV and UTSA.  Every team participating in the event, including the Tigers, are ranked in the top-80 in Golfweek’s Sagarin Rankings

Head Coach Stephanie Priesmeyer brings junior Emma Allen (Southampton, England), junior Marit Harryvan (Winschoten, Netherlands), sophomore Cherise Otter (Bloomington, Ind.), sophomore Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) and senior Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland) to Dallas for Mizzou’s last tournament of the fall campaign.

Last week, the Tigers claimed third place at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in Boulder City, Nevada. Mizzou tallied its lowest 54-hole team total of the 2017 fall campaign, a 5-under par 864. Allen snagged her fourth career top-5 finish, tying for 2nd individually.

Yuen carded a 4-under par in Boulder City and claimed 6th place after moving up 12 spots during her final round. She also tallied her third under par event of the fall campaign.
