
Mules Golf ranked 23rd in latest GCAA Poll
Central Missouri received 63 points and came in at No. 23 in the latest Division II Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll released late last week. The Mules were in a tie for 22nd in the final rankings of the fall.
The Mules had one tournament victory and four top-five finishes out of five fall tournaments. The Mules are currently in second place in the MIAA Team standings with 19 points, one point behind Central Oklahoma. Alex Springer is currently third in the individual standings with 21.5 points, 4.5 points behind Eli Armstrong of Central Oklahoma and Carson Roberts of Washburn.
West Florida garnered 11 first-place votes and totaled 395 points to stay atop the rankings. Lynn was second with 388 points and five first-place nods. Barry was third with Florida Southern and Nova Southeastern rounding out the top five. Central Oklahoma was the only other MIAA team to appear in the rankings at No. 18.
The Mules open the spring portion of their schedule March 13 and 14 at the Washburn Invitational at the Topeka Country Club in Topeka, Kan.
