Central Missouri received 82 points and came in at No. 20 in the latest Division II Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll released on Friday. The Mules were in a tie for 21st in the previous rankings.
The Mules have captured team titles in each of their first two tournaments of the spring season, the Washburn Invitational and the UCO Broncho Invitational. The Mules are currently in second place in the MIAA Team standings with 19 points, one point behind Central Oklahoma. Alex Springer is currently third in the individual standings with 21.5 points, 4.5 points behind Eli Armstrong of Central Oklahoma and Carson Roberts of Washburn.
West Florida garnered 15 first-place votes and totaled 421 points to stay atop the rankings for the third consecutive poll. Lynn was second with 409 points and two first-place nods. Barry was third with Florida Southern and Nova Southeastern rounding out the top five.
The Mules return to action on Monday and Tuesday, April 3-4 at the Battle at the Bay hosted by Barry University at Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Shores, Fla. The next MIAA points event of the season is April 18-19 at the Fort Hays State Invitational.
