
Mules Golf leads after day one of Missouri Western Classic
Mules Golf shot rounds of 291 and 289 and sits at 12-over par to lead after the first day of the Missouri Western/Holiday Inn Express Classic at St. Joseph Country Club.
The Mules hold a two-shot lead over MIAA rival Central Oklahoma and four shots over SW Oklahoma State.
Alex Springer is leading the Mules so far, sitting at even par and in a three-way tie for first place. He shot rounds of 73 and 69. Cole Dillon shot rounds of 70 and 73 and is one shot back of Springer at one-over par and tied for fourth.
Shayne Allan had rounds of 75 and 73 and is six-over par for the tournament and tied for 21st. Brett Windsor is two shots back of Allan after a 73 and a 77. He is tied for 28th. Ian Barnes is tied for 51st after rounds of 80 and 74.
The third and final round will get underway on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
