Mules Golf holds down top spot in NCAA Regional Rankings

Mules Golf continued to hold down the No. 1 spot in the NCAA-II Central Region Golf rankings released on Friday.

The top 10 teams and the top four individuals not on those teams will earn a bid from the Central Region and will join the top 10 teams and top four individuals not on those teams from the Midwest Region at the 2017 NCAA Central/Midwest Super Regional May 8-10 at Awarii Dunes Golf Club in Axtell, Neb.

The 54-hole regional tournament will decide the five teams and two individuals not on those teams, who will advance to the NCAA Championships May 22-26 at the Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Fla. The Central Region consists of teams from the MIAA, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and the Great American Conference (GAC).

The Mules are back in action Tuesday and Wednesday at the Fort Hays State Tiger Classic at Smoky Hill Country Club in Hays, Kan. It is the final MIAA points event before the MIAA Championships, which are set for April 24-26 at Sycamore Ridge Golf Course in Spring Hill, Kan.
