17th-ranked Mules Golf fired a final round score of two-over par 290 to finish at 22-over, 886, for the tournament and in 12th place at the DII National Preview at the Reunion Resort – Watson Course. The tournament featured 14 top-25 teams, including the top five teams in the nation and eight of the top 10.
Alex Springer shot final round 70, two-under par, to finish in a tie for 10th place and lead the Mules. He shot rounds of 72, 71 and 70 throughout the tournament to finish at three-under par.
Cole Dillon fired a final round one-under par 71 to finish at four-over par and tied for 41st. Brett Windsor finished in a tie for 67th after a final round 74 left him at nine-over par for the tournament. Shayne Allan shot a final round 76 and John Bonaobra came in with a 75. They finished at 13-over and 16-over and in ties for 73rd and 84th, respectively.
John Coultas of Florida Southern was one-under par in the final round and finished 11-under for the tournament to claim individual medalist honors. Lynn University finished at 19-under par as a team to bring home the team title.
The Mules are back in action next week at the Missouri Western/Holiday Inn Express Classic at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo.
