Mules Golf earns runner-up finish at Lindenwood Invitational

Mules golf shot a final round team score of 290 to finish at 11-over par for the tournament and in second place at the Lindenwood Invitational at Missouri Bluffs. The Mules were the highest placing MIAA team in the event and will earn the 11 points for the conference’s season-long points standings.

Brett Windsor shot a one-over par 72 in the final round to finish at one-under par for the tournament and in a tie for second place with Taylor Lansford of Missouri Southern. They were one shot back of individual medalist, Markus Lindberg of Missouri-St. Louis, who finished at two-under par.

Alex Springer shot a final round 74, while Ian Barnes shot a final round 70 to finish at one-over par and tied for sixth.; Shayne Allan shot a final round 74 to finish at 12-over par for the tournament and tied for 23rd place. Cole Dillon was four-over par for the final round and finished 15-over for the tournament, tied for 33rd.

Playing as individuals, Travis Simmons shot a final round 80 to finish tied for 28th at 14-over par. John Bonaobra finished at 21-over par and tied for 51st after a final round 74.

This tournament wraps up the fall portion of the Mules’ 2016-17 schedule.
