Mizzou Women’s Golf heads to Tucson, Arizona., on Monday for the Wildcat Invitational hosted by the University of Arizona at the Sewailo Golf Club.
The invitational begins Monday morning for round one at 8:30 a.m. CT. Round two will follow after completion of round one. The final round will be Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. CT. The course is a par 72 with a yardage of 6,494.
The Tigers are one of 16 programs participating in the Wildcat Invitational alongside Augusta, Denver, Grand Canyon, Iowa, Kansas State, Long Beach State, Northern Arizona, New Mexico, New Mexico State, No. 25 North Carolina State, Portland State, No. 20 Purdue, No. 7 Texas, No. 1 UCLA and UNLV.
Head Coach Stephanie Priesmeyer brings senior Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland), junior Emma Allen (Southampton, England), junior Cayce Hendrickson (Benton, Ky.), sophomore Amanda Kim (O’Fallon, Mo.) and sophomore Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) to Tucson for the second tournament of the spring campaign.
Last week, the Tigers claimed sixth place at the Florida State Match-Up after impressively finishing in front of three top-50 ranked teams. Mizzou turned in a total score of 10-over 874 after all three rounds.
Young led the team by tying for third individually in a talented field of 66 competitors. She matched her season-low 18-hole score with a 3-under 68 on Saturday. She finished the tournament 7-under par 209 with a pair of sub-70 rounds resulting in the second-best 54 holes of her career and her best in 2017-2018.
