MizzouMensGolf Trio Earn All-America Scholar Status
Mizzou Men’s Golf had three standouts on the course recognized for their work in the classroom by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), as rising senior Trevor Ullestad (Jewell, Iowa) and graduating seniors Euan Walker (Troon, Scotland) and Linus Lilliedahl (Sandviken, Sweden) were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars on Wednesday.
The trio of Tigers were part of just 260 Division I men’s golfers honored, with juniors and seniors eligible who have competed in at least three full seasons, have a stroke average of 76.0 or lower and maintain a cumulative career grade-point average of at least 3.2. Additionally, a recipient must be of high moral character and be in good standing at his university.
Mizzou’s presence on the All-America Scholar list marks the fifth consecutive year that multiple Tigers have earned the GCAA recognition. Lilliedahl and Walker’s inclusion made it back-to-back honors for the duo. Walker also repeated as Southeastern Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year this past season.
Head coach Mark Leroux‘s program additionally earned the GCAA’s All-Academic Team award, an honor bestowed upon programs with overall GPAs of 3.0 or higher.
