Mizzou Mens Golf’s Buckley and Long Qualify for Web.Com Tour Price Cutter Charity Championship

A pair Mizzou Men’s Golf legends, Jace Long and Hayden Buckley qualified for the 2018 Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper, a Web.Com PGA Tour event. Long and Buckley competed in the Web.Com Price Cutter Open Qualifier at the Millwood Golf and Racquet Club in Springfield, Mo., on Monday.

Buckley, who recently graduated from Mizzou in May, bested the entire field at the Qualifier, firing an impressive 7-under par 64. Buckley was a 2018 First Team All-SEC honoree and PING All-American after one of the best individual campaigns in program history in 2017-18.

Long followed with a strong 5-under 65, tying for fourth overall at the Qualifier. Long was a PING All-American in his career at Mizzou, which also included individual medalist honors at the 2011 NCAA Southeast Regional Championship.

Both Buckley and Long will compete in this week’s Web.Com Price Cutter Championship at the Highlands Springs Country Club in Springfield, Mo., from July 26-29. The purse at the event is $675,000.
