Missouri Golf Post

The University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team captured its first team title of the year on Tuesday as it fended off Grand Valley State to win the Greyhound Invitational.

The Tritons turned in a three-day, 54-hole score of 868 (281-291-296), edging the Lakers by one stroke in the 18-team field. UMSL’s score was a season-best and ranks sixth in program history.

Sophomore Chris Ferris placed third individually, turning in a career-best 214 (69-73-72), while freshman Trevor Kosch also recorded a top-10 finish, tying for eighth with a 217 (79-74-73).

UMSL returns to the links April 22-24 at the GLVC Championships in Carmel, Ind.
