Men’s Golf Earns President’s Special Recognition From GCAA
The University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team was one of nine NCAA Division II schools nationwide to earn President’s Special Recognition status by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
The honor came during the GCAA’s announcement of its 18Birdies Team Academic Awards, which honored 222 teams from all levels of two- and four-year college golf for having a 3.0 GPA or higher for the 2017-18 academic year. Teams honored as President’s Special Recognition winners had at least a 3.5 GPA.
UMSL had a 2017-18 team GPA of 3.58 and finished 13th at the NCAA Division II Championships.
