
Maisterra Leads Men’s Golf in Opening Round of Las Vegas Desert Classic
Freshman Miguel Maisterra shot a team-best 74 on Sunday as the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team completed the first of three rounds at its owns Las Vegas Desert Classic.
Maisterra sits in a tie for 11th place, while the Tritons are tied for ninth as a team with a 308.
West Florida and Grand Valley State both shot a 297 to lead the 18-team field. Individually, West Florida’s Chandler Blanchet carded a 67 to lead all players.
The second round of 18 holes will be played tomorrow, beginning at 8 a.m. (PT).
