Lindberg Posts Top 10 Finish as UMSL Men’s Golf Opens Spring Season at Newberry College Invitational


University of Missouri-St. Louis senior Markus Lindberg tied for eighth place at the Newberry College Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday, as the Tritons opened the spring portion of their season.

Lindberg posted rounds of 76, 71 and 71 to finish with a score of 218 en route to recording his fourth top-10 finish this season.

As a team, UMSL finished 13th in the 19-team field with a 910 (308-296-306).

The Tritons return to the links March 4-6 at their own Las Vegas Desert Classic.
