
Lindberg, Maisterra Lead Tritons on Day One of DII National Preview
Senior Markus Lindberg and freshman Miguel Maisterra each fired a 150 on Monday as the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team opened play at the Division II National Preview, hosted by North Alabama.
After shooting a 309 in the first round, the Tritons shaved 10 strokes off that in their second round, posting a 299 for a team score of 608. UMSL sits in 12th place heading into tomorrow’s final 18 holes. Newberry College leads the field of 18 teams with a 585.
Lindberg (77-73) and Maisterra (76-74) are both tied for 21st place, seven strokes out of the lead.
