Central Missouri Jennies Golf opened up the spring portion of the schedule at the Diffee Ford-Lincoln Invite at the Kickingbird Golf Club on Monday. The Jens shot a 47-over par 327 on day one and are tied for eighth place with Arkansas-Monticello going into day two.
Olivia Sobaski led the way for UCM on day one with a six-over par 76. She is just two stroke back of being in the top-five and five back of the leader. She showed well in on the courses’ three Par 5 holes scoring a combined one-under par on the day. She also is tied for third in pars with 12 going into the second day.
Elizabeth Leath and Blake Betke tied for second on the team as both shot a 13-over par 83 to tie for 44th overall after the first day. Jordan Rehkow checked in at tie for 58th after day one shooting a 15-over par 85 and is just two strokes back of Leath and Betke. Madison Grisham (+18) shot an 88 on the day and is tied for 74th overall.
Henderson State leads the field of 16 teams after shooting a 26-over par 306 on the first day. Two strokes back in second is Northeastern State with a 28-over par 308, while Southwestern Oklahoma State (312, +32) is third. Individually, Taylor Loeb of Henderson State is first with a one-over par 71 going into day two.
Day two of the tournament will get underway today (Tuesday morning) with first tee time set for 8:30 a.m.
