Jennies Golf sits eighth heading into final round of NCAA Regional


Jennies Golf fired a second round team total of 316, one shot more than Monday’s first round, and sits in eighth place at 63-over par at the NCAA Super Regional at Minnehaha Country Club. The Jennies slipped one spot in the team standings after being seventh after day one.

Olivia Sobaski continues to lead the Jennies as she’s tied for ninth at 11-over par. She was six-over par on the day, carding a 77. Taelyn Entriken matched Sobaski’s 77 as the low-round of the day for UCM. She currently sits tied for 16th at 13-over par.

Elizabeth Leath shot a nine-over par 80 and is 17-over par for the tournament, tied for 27th. Kelly Welker shot her second consecutive 82 and is tied for 42nd at 22-over par. Jordan Rehkow is in 65th place at 36-over par after carding a 19-over par 90 on Tuesday.

Arkansas Tech sits atop the leaderboard after becoming the first team to break 300 in the tournament, firing a team total of 299 in Tuesday’s second round. ATU is 40-over par and holds an eight-shot lead of second place Augustana and 12 shots over third place Missouri Western.

Pia Nunbhakdi of ATU is the individual leader at six-over par after a two-over par 73 on Tuesday. There are 11 players within five shots of the lead, including Sobaski.

The Jennies will begin the third and final round this morning at 8:00 a.m., teeing off on the back nine.
