Jennies Golf one shot out of the lead after first round of Golden Bear Classic

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Sept. 19, 2016) — Jennies Golf fired an opening round team score of 331 at the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bear Classic on Monday and sits at 43-over par, just one shot out of the lead at Hillcrest Golf Club.

Freshman Olivia Sobaski shot a seven-over par 79 and is tied for second individually. She is just two shots back of CSP’s Savannah Stone, who shot an opening round 77, five-over par, to lead the way.

Jordan Rehkow was three shots back of Sobaski with an 82 and is tied for seventh. Elizabeth Leath is tied for 16th after an opening round 84, while Taelyn Entriken and Blake Betke both shot rounds of 86 and are tied for 22nd at 14-over par.

Bellevue University leads the team race at 42-over par after an opening 330.

The second and final round gets underway on Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
