Jennies Golf in seventh place after first round of Central Region Fall Preview


OLATHE, Kan. (Sept. 6, 2016) — Jennies Golf shot a season-opening round of 326 to sit in seventh place after the first day of the Central Region Fall Preview at Prairie Highlands Golf Club. The Jennies are 38-over par as a team and 22 shots back of team leader Central Oklahoma.

Elizabeth Leath shot a team-low round of 77 to pace the Jennies. She sits at five-over par and tied for 11th place individually. Olivia Sobaski is four shots back at nine-over and tied for 24th.Maranda Smith shot an 11-over par 83 and is tied for 36th, while Jordan Rehkow (+13) andTaelyn Entriken (+17) are tied for 48th and 68th, respectively.

Central Oklahoma shot a team score of 304 to pace the field on Tuesday, while Pia Nunbhakdi of Arkansas Tech shot a two-over par 74 to grab the individual lead.

The Jennies tee off in the second and final round at 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
