
Jennies Golf in fifth after first round of MIAA Championships
Central Missouri shot a team score of 54-over par, 342, in a windy first round at the MIAA Championships at Swope Memorial Golf Course on Monday. The Jennies are currently fifth in the team standings, but just 12 shots back of second-place Central Oklahoma.
Olivia Sobaski was the top Jennie on day one of the conference championships, posting a 12-over par 84. She is currently tied for 12th place. Elizabeth Leath and Jordan Rehkow were one shot back at 13-over par and tied for 15th.
Taelyn Entriken and Kelly Welker were one shot further back after opening round 88s and are 16-over par and tied for 25th.
Dakota Limkemann of Lindenwood and Marla Souvannasing of Central Oklahoma shot opening round 77s and are atop the leaderboard at five-over par. Northeastern State is 33-over par after a team total of 321 and holds a nine-shot lead over Central Oklahoma.
The second of three rounds is set for Tuesday with the Jennies teeing off at 9:20 a.m. on the back nine.
