Jennies Golf shot a final round team total of 336 on a wet and windy day at the St. Joseph Country Club to finish in fourth place at the 13-team Missouri Western/Holiday Inn Express Classic.
Blake Betke played as an individual separate from the Jennies’ team and was the highest placing finisher for Central Missouri. Her final round 79 left her at 16-over par for the tournament and equaled an eighth place finish. Taelyn Entriken shot a final round 86 and ended up tied for 14th at 21-over par with teammate Olivia Sobaski who shot an 81 in Tuesday’s final round.
Elizabeth Leath’s final round 84 left her one shot back of her teammates at 22-over and tied for 17th place. Jordan Rehkow and Kelly Welker both finished at 25-over par and tied for 20th after final round scores of 85 and 89, respectively.
Henderson State brought home the team title with a two-round total of 625, 49-over par. Katie Warren of Williams Woods, the team runner-up, captured the individual title with a final total of nine-over par 153.
The Jennies are back in action later this week at the Nebraska-Kearney Invitational. The tournament will take place at the Awarii Dunes Golf Club in Axtell, Neb. and will run Saturday and Sunday.
