Jennies Golf finishes fifth at MIAA Championships


The Jennies shot a final round 332 while battling cold, windy conditions on Wednesday in the final round of the MIAA Championships at Swope Memorial Golf Course. They remained in the upper echelon of the conference standings coming in fifth in the championships.

Olivia Sobaski was the top Jennie in Wednesday’s final round, firing a 78. She finished the tournament at 33-over par and tied for 14th. Elizabeth Leath shot a final round 82 and finished the 54-hole tournament at 31-over par and one place ahead of Sobaski in 13th.

Taelyn Entriken shot a final round 84 and finished the tournament in 19th place at 38-over par. Jordan Rehkow was one spot back of Entriken in a tie for 20th at 39-over par after a final round 88. Kelly Welker fired a final round 92 and finished tied for 33rd place at 47-over par.

Northeastern State won the tournament at 92-over par while Dakota Limkemann of Lindenwood captured the individual championship at 15-over par with a five-shot win.

The Jennies will learn their postseason fate on Monday afternoon when the NCAA releases the Central Region selections at 2 p.m. on NCAA.com.
