Jennies Golf Finishes Eighth at Central Region Fall Preview


Jennies Golf shot a final round 313, 10 shots better than the opening round to finish at 58-over par as a team and in eighth place at the Central Region Fall Preview at Prairie Highlands Golf Club.

The Jennies were paced for the second day in a row by sophomore Olivia Sobaski, who shot a five-over par 77. She finished the tournament at nine-over par and tied for 16th to lead UCM for the two days. Taelyn Entriken followed her day opening round 77 with a six-over par 78 to finish at 11-over par and tied for 24th individually.

Elizabeth Leath shot a final round 76 and finished at 16-over par and tied for 38th. Madison Grisham was 22-over par after a final round 82, finishing tied for 54th. Maggie Kohl shot a 95 in the final round and finished 85th at 38-over par.

Augustana (SD) captured the team championship after rounds of 291 and 297 to finish at 12-over par. Hannah Hankinson of Augustana was the individual champion, finishing at five-under par after a final round 70.

The Jennies are back in action Sept. 17-18 at the Golden Bear Fall Classic at Edinburgh Golf Course in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
