Jennies Golf finishes 11th at UCO Classic


Final Results

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Jennies golf team shot a final round 315, five shots better than their opening round, and finished at 67-over par, 635, to finish 11th at the UCO/RCB Bank Classic at Lincoln Park East Golf Course on Tuesday.

Taelyn Entriken and Kelly Welker both finished at 16-over par 158 to tie for 50th place. Elizabeth Leath was one shot back of her teammates with a 159 and finished in a tie for 54th place. Jordan Rehkow finished with a 164 after an 83 and 81 and was tied for 66th. Kayla Temple shot a final round 80 and finished in 74th place with a two-round total of 169.

Northeastern State finished with a 12-over par 580 to capture the team title by one shot over Central Oklahoma. Marla Souvannasing of UCO shot a six-under par 136 and won the individual title by five shots.

The Jennies wrap up the fall portion of their schedule Oct. 25-27 at the Illinois-Springfield Island Getaway at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Golf Course in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
