Jennies Golf adds a pair of signees to 2017 recruiting class


Central Missouri Jennies head golf coach Chris Port has announced the signing of two student-athletes during the fall’s early signing period. Emma Solovic of Imperial, Mo. and Brianna Walker of Liberty, Mo. will join the UCM program next fall.

“We are excited about the additions of Emma and Brianna to the Jennies golf program,” Port said. “Both players have had outstanding high school careers and we look forward to them joining our program in the fall.”

Solovic was a four-time First Team All-Conference and All-District performer for head coach Brad Hagedorn at Seckman High School. She was the 2015 Suburban West Conference Champion, claiming the title in a three-way playoff. She was the 2014 and 2015 Suburban West Conference Player of the Year. She qualified for the state tournament three times, placing sixth in 2016 and earning All-State recognition. Solovic is also a member of the National Honor Society, and the Spanish National Honor Society and was an A Honor Roll student all four years.

Walker was a three-time All-Conference honoree for head coach Forrest Bertoldie at Liberty High School. She captured the conference championship as a senior and the district title as a junior. She earned All-State honors as a junior, placing 11th. She helped Liberty High School to three straight conference and district team championships as well.
