Former Mule Named Missouri Golf Association Player of the Year

A former Central Missouri Mule golfer has been named this year’s Missouri Golf Association men’s Player of the Year. The honor went to 2015 graduate Sam Migdal.

Migdal was the 2017 MGA Stroke Play Champion at Winghaven Country Club in O’Fallon, Mo. He was also a medalist at the MGA Amateur Championship in St. Joseph, Mo, finishing as the runner-up.  This year,

Migdal qualified for the U.S. Amateur and competed in the second stage of the U.S. Open. He also took part and accumulated points in the Stewart and Ozark Invitationals.

As a student-athlete, Migdal helped the Mules to a third-place finish at the 2015 National Championships. He was also crowned the National Champion in 2015, the first ever in Mules golf history.
