Ferris Leads Men’s Golf on Day Two of Las Vegas Desert Classic


Sophomore Chris Ferris shot a one-over par 73 on Monday to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team to a 303 on Monday as the Tritons completed day two of its Las Vegas Desert Classic.

Despite shaving five strokes off yesterday’s round of 308, UMSL slipped two spots in the team standings to 11th with a 611.

West Florida leads the field of 18 teams with a 573 (297-276), while the Arognauts’ Chandler Blanchet owns a 132 (67-65) to pace all players.

The third and final round of 18 holes will be played tomorrow, beginning at 8 a.m. (PT).
